Heavy turn out for the inauguration of Barack Obama filled the Mall and crowded streets during the week of Jan 20, 2009 in Washington, D.C. Officials estimated 1.8 million people packed Metro cars, charter buses, trains, planes and automobiles to witness the historic event.
